I grew up in Switzerland and thanks to my father's job with an airline travelled to many far-away places from an early age. Even better though, I discovered, were journeys to imaginary worlds. And so I trudged through the Mines of Moria, sailed on the Dawn Treader, fought in the Trojan War and rode telepathic dragons.

Even then I was always scribbling stories in my notebooks, but nothing came of it until much later. I went on to study English and History, eventually ended up with a job in information technology and started a family.

However, the urge to create my own worlds and stories remained, so when it was quiet in the evenings I slipped away to places that existed only in the imagination - the results you can find on these pages. I hope

I’m so pleased to hear you enjoyed the book! At the moment I’m not planning a sequel, though I have a few vague ideas for possible further adventures for Shay and Medyr in his homeland.
However, there will definitely be another book set in the same world, just some centuries earlier (involving a stolen elephant – don’t ask me how the muse came up with that idea!) and possibly some short stories.
Thanks for reading!(less)

Hi Rachel,
thanks so much for your kind words, I'm really pleased to hear you enjoyed my books! At the moment I don't intend to write another novel set in the world of Wind Weaver, but you never know. I wouldn't mind finding out what Gero and her friends get up to once they're grown.

Instead I've currently got an idea for a story involving shapeshifters (in a new world), but I'm not sure when I'll get round to it. Real life keeps me rather busy, I'm afraid.

Wind Weaver

After a long hiatus – due to work and the world going a bit crazy – I’m so happy to release my new fantasy romance: Wind Weaver.

For this novel I combined my interest in Ancient Greece with my love for the sea and sailing. The protagonist, Xanthe, is a wind mage, able to weave the air into what shape she desires, a useful gift in a world of islands and sailing ships. However, to reach her full pote Read more of this blog post »

“Where now are the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the harp on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?

The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.
Who shall gather the smoke of the deadwood burning,
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?”
