I was a child at the time and had no idea what was going on. It was only later in life that I learned anything about it. Long story short he was cleared of all suspicion, because he was completely and totally innocent, but apparently the experience really shook him up, understandably. Goes to show that sometimes you only have to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The mystery part is, who really was the guilty party? I don't know if anyone was ever arrested or not. Did they get away with it? How? And why did they do it in the first place? Hmm, interesting...(less)

I would be a sightseer, much like Twoflower, though I hope not quite as bumbling. I would see the dragons and perhaps have tea with the Patrician, if he is able to spare the time. I would hate for him to detain me...(less)

S.P. Oldham, Sleep, Think, Die

“Write like the whole world's reading.”
Lillian White

“A writer without reviews is like racing car without an engine - shows lots of potential but it's never going anywhere.”
Lillian White

“…we must be careful not to do our enemies’ work for them. To argue that to preserve our freedoms we must suspend our freedoms, that to safeguard elections we must cancel elections, that to defend ourselves from dictatorship we must appoint a dictator – what logic is this?”
Robert Harris, Dictator

“The things you think are the disasters in your life are not the disasters really. Almost anything can be turned around: out of every ditch, a path, if you can only see it.”
Hilary Mantel, Bring Up the Bodies

“To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child. For what is the worth of human life, unless it is woven into the life of our ancestors by the records of history?”
Robert Harris, Dictator
