Robert Day is passionate about rescuing children and restoring families. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Work as well as a Master’s of Divinity.

Robert has served nonprofit organizations most of his career, focusing mainly on child welfare causes. In 2010 Robert Day became the Chief Executive Officer of Patrick Henry Family Services, which includes Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Homes, Hope for Tomorrow Counseling, Safe Families for Children, Hat Creek Camp, and Straight Talk with Robert Day.

Straight Talk, is a popular radio broadcast that can be heard throughout Virginia twice a day on Spirit FM.

Robert’s first book, ‘Worst of Mothers…Best of Moms’ was released September 16th, 2016.

They could either relate to some of the same suffering, or they were compelled to know how I survived it. After a great deal of encouragement, I decided to put it to paper. I was first motivated by professional reasons. Helping the public understand, on an emotional level, the plight of millions of children seemed a worthy goal. I never expected, though, the process would be so deeply therapeutic for me. Nothing pleases me more than to hear from a reader they have committed to doing something to help the cause of vulnerable children, or that they have found some healing or peace for their own lives by reading it.
