INTRO (BIO BELOW): Main interests are reviewing & writing for film. Fav book last year? It was on film writing, by the guy who created the tv series "Stitchers." I've posted 50 reviews here, catalogued 1,000 books, and also have a YA novel for free review. My Listopia CELTIC list shows some of its genre influences (and it's on 6 other lists too): https://www.goodreads.com/list/book/3...

I can't wait 'til the e-book world starts encouraging full color pics in books. Right now 130 color pages printed through Createspace can't be made for less than about $20. I'm trying to lead this, and am taking my lumps for sure. But my new GRAMMAR MAPS manuals-trio should cement my place as a linguistic expert and pioneer. My 30-year bio shows other milesto

The final verdict from the forum was that serial killers are dumb brutes therefore psychological thrillers like "Saw" and "Silence of the Lambs" were too fake to be good. That brings me back to ones with really good music, and my favs 'til this day are the two from John Carpenter, "Halloween" & "The Thing." Close behind those would be "The Crow" and a few of the "Resident Evil" films, maybe "The Matrix" too, kinda grouping them all under the umbrella [corp!] of cyber-gothic-horror-punk?(less)

Lots of rock music preproduction but Moorcock was continuously dissatisfied with Hollywood-exec-mentality.

The plan as I understand it, was to have David Bowie and Lemmy Kilmister spearhead the feel of the film by scoring it. In private correspondence, Lemmy seemed to be "out" of the film plan by the early 1990's. They both recently passed. Hopefully the popularity of Bowie in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise will renew interest for a rock-driven, alien fantasy epic.

I just finished the novel and film previs for my own story, first in a trilogy. If that takes off, perhaps I can renew my correspondence with Mr. Moorcock about getting an EC film made. Personally I'm more partial to the Corum stories to start: same magical world, with a more sympathetic hero imo.(less)

AQUAMAN 2018: How does a "C" film make a billion??? By S.W. Wilcox

Best Aquaman Full Movie Release Aquaman Full Movie by anjoloy baster

I wanted this to be an "A" like "Wonder Woman" and "Guardians of the Galaxy 2," but despite the raved-about CGI, there's just too many shortcomings. If 75% is the threshold for pass/fail, I would summarize it's a pass for 13 and under but a fail for older viewers than that, the theme of mercy being handled especially well for the youngsters.

Here's where I dock the points, keeping in mind the Read more of this blog post »

“She tilted her head back, breathing deeply. It was a stone gray day, the sea a bleak slate broken up by whitecaps, the sky pleated with thick ripples of cloud. A hard wind filled the sails, carrying the little boat over the waves.

'It feels good to be this kind of cold,' she murmured.

'This kind?'
