You have to be willing to write through the noise of "this sucks" but that's true about all art. You can't create and judge at the same time. A writer's block is a choice to listen to that self-criticsm, stop typing and close the computer.(less)

As for the actress to play the complicated younger me, there are so many great young actresses but I'd start with Elle or Dakota Fanning, Saoirse Ronan and I adore Emma Watson too. (less)
