The first four books of the Hampton Murder Mystery Series are being re-released in mass market paperbacks this summer by Sourcebooks and as of yet, no plans for a fifth, but fingers crossed. In the meantime, I am finishing a new series called 'Trouble in Paradise' which is set in a tropical island and will come out next year.(less)

I would say the biggest thing you need to do (and I am still trying to do this!) is to view your writing as a priority, and not as a luxury. Easier said than done, I know. But my problem can be I put everything else first--laundry, kids, etc--and often leave my writing for the last thing as if it is a privilege not a necessity. But the way to be a successful writer is to create time to write and do it every day you can, even if it is just a little time. Mary Higgins Clark was widowed with six kids to support she got up at the crack of done to write before her official day started. And what a career she had! Good luck, keep writing.(less)

Strangers by Belle Burden
"This is a brilliant but, quite frankly, jaw-dropping account of the implosion of Belle Burden's marriage. It took my breath away.

Gripping. Stunning. Horrific. This book is incredibly well-written. I love that Belle is not only giving herself a voice, but her mother and grandmother before her. This is her call to arms to end the cycle of the women in her family passively accept ...more

Another re-read for me. This book just nails it. So concise and so poignant. An incredible example of how a great writer can convey so much in brief prose.

This was a re-read (you can read it in an hour.) The fact that such a short book can resonate so deeply and make you cry so hard is astonishing. Such a fantastic book.

Police eventually arrested the second woman’s husband, who insisted he was innocent, and”

“Tariq was not being very helpful. He was one of those self-righteous, annoying types, who was always complaining about getting left out of group chats and that sort of thing.”
