When Jeannie Chambers looks in the mirror, she sees a casual observer, dreamer, time traveler, mother, grandmother, and slave to her cat and dogs. She lives in a small resort town in the western North Carolina mountains and partners with her husband as a real estate broker and vacation rental manager. Her parents told her more than once, “You can go anywhere in the world you want, any time you want, just by reading a book.” Her sense of direction may be a little off, but she doesn't mind getting lost if it’s in a good story.
Her goal is to write stories that make you think without being taught and tickle your inquisitive bones where the only way to satisfy that itch is to read more and more.

Anger-Danger-Stranger What's in a word?

Words have always fascinated me. Take the word ANGER for example, add just one letter and it becomes DANGER. Add two different letters and you get STRANGER.

Remember, the 'Stranger Danger' meme started to teach kids to trust their gut instincts. When I see the words 'stranger danger'- I see a dark image of someone in a trench coat (if only they could be that obvious). Maybe it's from watching too Read more of this blog post »
