Patrick McNulty was born in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada. He married his high school sweetheart straight out of high school and then went on to university where he studied Neuroscience. After finding that he would rather write about strange behaviours of the brain than study them he left Ontario for British Columbia where he studied screenwriting and ended up working with the production company called the Zanuck Co.on an original screenplay he wrote called Dark Season. Write anything. With me, I have an outline and I usually work from top to bottom and write the whole story in a linear way, but if something isn't working, or I'm stuck, I just skip to the next plot point and start hammering away. 99% of the time I figure out what was wrong with the pinch point. The bottom line is that you have to keep going. There's no way to add more words without adding more words. You can always rewrite it later...and you will! (less)

I love coming up with new and interesting ways to torture my lead characters, but the best part is writing something that a reader truly enjoys. All writers have a group of people that will tell them that they are awesome automatically, but when you get an email from a total stranger telling you that they liked what you wrote, it's awesome. I love hearing from fans.(less)

Wanted: Influencers!

Hey everyone!

I need some help with TIKTOK or INSTAGRAM. I admit I’m not great at either one so I could use some help getting the word out there about my upcoming releases.

What I’m really looking for is for horror lovers on these platforms who are willing to review my book A DARK BREED in exchange for an advance reader copy.

If you are on these platforms I would love to speak to you either for t

Follow the Devil by Patrick McNulty
"A book that could easily fit on the big screen. Patrick gives us Danny, a tough action hero who is trying to do the right thing. For some reason, I kept the picture of him as John McClain, played by Bruce Willis, from Die Hard. A man's man. The chase" Read more of this review »
