I always had my phone handy, and if a new line or verse popped into my head, or if a better way of phrasing an existing line occurred to me, i would type it into a Notes app immediately, before the idea had a chance to pass me by. My inspiration was thinking about the first time I would read it to my son, and wanting it to be as perfect as possible and roll off the tongue as cleanly as possible for him.(less)

While it started with my son in mind, the project grew into something that I felt could be helpful to other children and families that would either relate to Andrew's story or want to learn more about the condition through his story.(less)
