Books have always been like friends to me. When I felt left out or lonely, stories and characters and other worlds helped me feel a part of something bigger than myself. Now, as an author, I write to let others know that they are loved and that they are not alone.

Jesus is my muse! He is the greatest storyteller of all time! He inspires me and connects with me through the written word. My hope is to spread a little light through the amazing vessel of storytelling.

My style is classic, gentle, timeless, character driven, with emotional depth woven in here and there.

I hope you enjoy my stories!

That's a good question and I'm not sure I know the answer because I'm pretty new to this authoring thing. So far, something has to inspire me, I need a muse. For this series, God just sort of flooded me with the idea during a time in my life when I really needed some sort of outlet. I guess you could say I'm a reluctant pantser with chronic imposter syndrome. (less)

That's not just part of the story, it actually happened that way (though much less poetically, haha). I was sort of in and out of sleep when "Taverick's Tavern" popped into my head, followed by a flood of details!(less)

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this. The library labeled it as horror and on a whim, I picked it up. Horror isn’t normally my thing. I was delightfully surprised that it leans more toward gothic romantasy than straight horror, which definitely is ...more

StarMother by Sydney J. Van Scyoc
"I’m so glad I discovered this book. It joins my small but growing collection of weird body horror-esque books (it sits on a shelf with The Chrysalids, Annihilation, and Wilder Girls). I might need to start looking for more vintage sci-fi books. "

“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”
Albert Einstein

L.M. Montgomery
“Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we know all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there? But am I talking too much? People are always telling me I do. Would you rather I didn't talk? If you say so I'll stop. I can STOP when I make up my mind to it, although it's difficult.”
Lucy Maud Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

“No book is really worth reading at the age of ten which is not equally – and often far more – worth reading at the age of fifty and beyond.”
C.S. Lewis

Charles Dickens
“For it is good to be children sometimes, and never better than at Christmas, when its mighty Founder was a child Himself.”
Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol
