I'm so glad your "picky patron" enjoyed The Sowing Season! My next book releases this October, which seems like a long ways away, but I'm sure it will go by fast. The book is set in a small town in Montana. If she liked The Sowing Season, she might enjoy Lead Me Home by Amy Sorrells while she is waiting. :)(less)

Thanks so much for your note and for leaving a review. I really appreciate it!(less)

Emergency Placement

He came to me early in the morning. I usually sleep in on the weekend, but the needs of little ones have no sense of time. "They think he's about two or three," the social worker had said. "I'm on my way to the detention center now to pick him up."I was still in my pajamas when they arrived. She carried him to the door wrapped in a blanket. "We don't know his name," she said.
