Chores, schooling my children, reading another book, watching a show, taking a walk, gardening - and once I take the mental break, the inspiration starts flowing again. Sometimes it takes a few hours, sometimes days to weeks - but I've learned if I'm patient and just trust myself, it will come back around. (less)

Whether it is memoir or fiction or whatever - the message you convey to readers stays with them long after they close the book. There is power in words, especially words that create feelings. I love hearing how my writing has affected the lives of others - that our story meant something in their own!(less)
