I think the best part of being a writer for me is being able to capture timeless messages. Whether it is memoir or fiction or whatever - the message you convey to readers stays with them long after they close the book. There is power in words, especially words that create feelings. I love hearing how my writing has affected the lives of others - that our story meant something in their own!
