That when you're stuck, y…moreI once heard another writer talk about writers block. I'm paraphrasing but he essentially said he doesn't believe it exists. That when you're stuck, you should understand that it's just your subconscious mind telling you that you've hit a dead end. You have gone down the wrong path in your story and to correct it you need to go backward until you find your way.

I know that's easier said than done, but I think there is something to it. Our minds are powerful and if we took our story to the wrong place, it may just stop us cold in order to force us to correct course. (less)

Even if I write something low fantasy, based on Earth, adding supernatural elements makes it an entirely new place. Getting to take these thoughts and images in my head and put them down on paper for people to read is very fun. (less)
