Tenkara Smart grew up surfing in San Diego, California, even once having a close encounter with a hammerhead shark while surfing near the Mexican border, causing her to exit pronto! Now, living in Australia, where the sharks are generally larger, (and seemingly have more close-encounters with humans), she doesn’t surf - but she loves to kayak, paddleboard, walk/hike, and spend any minute she can with her husband. Together, they travel often, especially to Japan, where her heart feels at home.

Hi Jordan,

Throughout my life, people have shared stories with me, and some of those stories were added to my book. I added this short scene because I felt it highlighted the wisdom of Wolf and that it showed Wolf is true to who he is, he trusts his feelings and his instincts, and Wolf is committed to making his own decisions in life based on what he thinks is right.

My future books will be taking place long in the past and not in Australia, so the topics and stories will be different.

Hi Matthew,

Wow! Thank you so much for enjoying She Named Me Wolf.

The idea came from stories that were shared with me. I decided that I wanted to take these real-life experiences and fictionalize them, creating a series of books that would (hopefully) touch a reader on a deep level. The next book in the series The Many Lives of Wolf is about the samurai warrior, Junsaku, and I hope to have it ready to read in 2021. I hope you'll give it a read :)

Also, I hope you'll share your review on Amazon and Goodreads so that others might know you enjoyed it. Thanks again for the question and for saying that you were touched by She Named Me Wolf - you made my day!!!
