Jacob began reading voraciously as a teen, enjoying everything from Stephen King to Agatha Christie to 19th and 20th Century classics. Although he still enjoys many of those authors and books, his taste as an adult has evolved to include literary, historical nonfiction, and contemporary crime authors.

Jacob is also the published author of over thirty short stories, most notably a title that appeared in 'The Saturday Evening Post.' He self-published his three crime novels, all standalones. The most recent, 'Letter 26,' won the 2025 Maxy Award for Best Horror & Suspense Novel.

In his free time Jacob enjoys sports, traveling, and playing guitar. His work-in-progress is a memoir chronicling his many harrowing jail experiences.
