When Draco overdoses on sleeping potions, he has to come to Harry‘s house every single day to be able to get his dose. I loved how their friendship developed, and it was basically just like they were in an extremely domestic relationship the whole time without either of them, realizing it and I liked how honest they were about their emotions. Short and sweet and hot!!

2. Telling the Bees by hiimcibee This was really really heartbreaking. It’s a story about grief and how horrible things happen. Watching Draco deal with the aftermath of everything was devastating but the way that Harry really stood by him through it all was also very sweet. My one issue with this is that it’s switched back-and-forth so often from the past and the present without clear divide so sometimes it was difficult for me to understand when we were talking about something because the shifts were very violent. I don’t think I fully understood what the motive was behind the person who did the things, but I still really like this one overall. (view spoiler)

3. Ankles by citrusses. Talk about angstyyyyy… Damn this was good. Draco’s engaged to Neville, but when an engagement spells keeps pushing Harry away as a “threat” it stirs some questions. I loved how intense this was and all of the sneaking around. I normally do not like anything with cheating, but this is one of those rare instances that I ate it up. Do I like that they lied to everybody around them and ruined peoples lives? No. But. This is fiction and that’s how I’m justifying liking it. The writing is sublime and the subtle hints and the charged dialogue throughout make this an amazing read.

4. Flirt Fun, flirty and cute! Low stakes overall, with Draco constantly flirting with Harry just to get under his nerves (read: hiding a crush). Harry is so earnest and smooth in this, like the boy just wants to go out with Draco. Draco sucking Harry off under the desk... Head Auror Harry... PHEW. Just a fun time really. ...more

I honestly don't know why these are my favorite because they are so heartbreaking but I absolutely love this one. It takes us through the five stages of grief and how Draco deals with his husband completely forgetting that they had ever been married because Harry think he's 18 years old. there's magical curses and an underlying mystery and just so much planning and love that really pull you into the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this one even though it definitely hurt sometimes!!

2. In a Year’s Turning by hoko_onchi Drarry exes to lovers where Harry is basically a single dad to Teddy and needs Draco back to help. I mean, we all know I will eat a second chance up and this was *chefs kiss*

3. Nothing Stays the Same by Isabelbarret Cuties! Harry needs a live-in nanny for Teddy and Veela Draco who has a good history with kids, is free to help. I liked this so much, it was really cute and sweet. Very domestic Drarry dads.

4. Letting You In by emeraldmarvel. Loved this!! great writing and a very gentle and kind love. A lot of similarities to A Big Black Sky in this one where Harry takes in down-and-out Draco Malfoy and his adorable, precious darling son Scorpius because somebody is out to get him. Draco was initially prickly and protective and defensive, but he loves his son with his entire heart and that’s so obvious to see. Sweet and tender with an incredible slow burn!

5. Finding You in The Before and The After by FightFireWithFire This was angstyyyy and I loved every minute of it. It's a dual timeline story altering between sixth year and the middle of the war. Sixth year is a reflection on how the two start a secret relationship. And the current timeline is when Draco regrets betraying Harry and ends up as his caregiver after Snape removes the part of Voldy's soul from him. Harry has a little bit of amnesia so he doesn't really remember everything but he just knows that he loves Draco. I was definitely anxious reading this whole thing because I knew there was going to become a point where Harry remembered that Draco betrayed him but the amount of love that the two of them have for one another overtakes literally everything else and genuinely pales in comparison. This fic is littered with grammatical errors, but the storyline is so good that I still loved it!!!! Just so sweet and caring. This is DMHP with referenced switch. ...more
