Gottfried Distl was born in Lower Austria's wine country in 1954. He was inspired by the American Beat Generation and the Poets of the Beat and Pop Revolution of the 1960s to become a Beat Poet and Performance artist. In the 1980s he wrote two hard boiled novels and recorded a couple of German New Wave styled songs. His novel 'Ice Golem - A Hot Adventure with a Cool Monster' and 'The Limit of Songs' are available in English. In 2023 he published 'From the Underground - Multimedia Art, Performances, Beat Poetry, Pop Stories'', a collection of his work from 1972 to 2022. ...more
