Craig Tomashoff may not have done it all during his 20+ years as a journalist but he’s certainly tried. He’s spent the night drinking heavily on a Utah mountaintop with Jon Bon Jovi, eaten bologna sandwiches with an O.J. Simpson juror’s family as the verdict was read and scaled a 250-foot Brazilian church tower while tethered to a corporate attorney. Whether he’s navigating through the wilds of Hollywood, jurisprudence or South American villages, he’s had the presence of mind to write about his experiences for a wide variety of publications, including People, the New York Times, TV Guide, the Los Angeles Times, the Boston Globe and The Hollywood Reporter.

Somewhere along the way, he’s also written the popular book You Live, You Learn: The Al

The point is, just stop thinking about writing and then you can write. We build the task up as something scary and imposing when, as earlier stated, it's as simple as observing your life and capturing what you experience in words. It's my way of taking what I experience and making sense of it. I think that's what all writers do, and I can't imagine existing any other way.(less)

One More Reason — And Maybe the Best One — To Hate Donald Trump

Trust me, I’ve got plenty of reasons to hate Donald Trump. Just off the top of my head, I’ll go with the fact that the man lies as regularly as he breathes. Oh, and then there’s the way he governs like a two-year-old at dinnertime: make a big mess of everything and, if you don’t get what you want, throw a tantrum. Even worse, this hateful man and his rage-filled disciples have me longing for a mor Read more of this blog post »
