Who is Journey?

Journey Windrow was born to wander and didn’t have to join the Navy to see the world. A jeans and t-shirt gal, she has curly magenta and purple hair, a twisted sense of humor, and is inseparable from her senior pup. You can sometimes find Journey in the wild at writers conferences. The Reluctant Mage, her first urban fantasy novel in a series, is set in Boston, where Mage Miranda, like Journey, runs on Dunkin’. Enjoy a wild ride of action, adventure, magic, love, loss, dark humor, and the meaning of family.

You get something off the newswire and have it revised to fit the local paper in short order or find yourself in the mail room.

Most often the problem I have is having to spent too much time on writing related issues (newsletters, etc.) If I need a new focus I write a short story. That clears out the pipes in short order. (less)

Suicide Prevention

Went to a book fest today. While it was nice to see other authors, the most important people I met were educating about suicide prevention. They paint rocks with positive messages and give them away. They reach out to groups of at-risk kids and have painting workshops. After 12-year-old Evie took her own life, her friends and family founded Tiny Evie Rocks.
