Escritor argentino radicado en Barcelona, España. Es autor de novela negra. Su obra ha ganado diversos premios, el Hammett entre ellos, y se ha traducido al francés, italiano, holandés y alemán.

Nacido en La Plata, capital de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, Raúl Argemí se dedicó tempranamente a las artes escénicas como autor y director teatral. A comienzos de los años ´70 participó en la lucha armada en Argentina, militando en el ERP-22 de agosto. Pasó toda la dictadura del gobierno militar argentino encarcelado, y tras su caída y el regreso de los gobiernos democráticos recuperó la libertad en 1984.
