I found that growing up, reading became an escape for me when I faced challenges in life and poetry especially helped to show me that there were others who experienced similar pain as I did. It made me feel less alone and sometimes, helped me to make sense of things I hadn't yet processed for myself.

It truly inspired me to be able to do that for others too. (less)

It may seem far off and take a lot of time to hone your craft, but it will be worth it. There were many times I thought about giving up and I am so grateful that I kept going not only did I find myself healing through writing but I also found myself achieving the goal I had set out for. “I lay down my armor and find solace in the moonlit melodies of your heart.”
Cheyenne Sioux, Sincerely Yours Forever, C.s.

“With stardust on my wings, I am pure reckoning magic.”
Cheyenne Sioux, Sincerely Yours Forever, C.s.

“I am made up of fragments of poetry
glued together hoping one day to become art.”
Cheyenne Sioux, Sincerely Yours Forever, C.s.

“To the people who look at the stars and wish, Rhys."
Rhys clinked his glass against mine. “To the stars who listen— and the dreams that are answered.”
Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Mist and Fury

“He thinks he'll be remembered as the villain in the story. But I forgot to tell him that the villain is usually the person who locks up the maiden and throws away the key. He was the one who let me out.”
Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Mist and Fury

“I fell in love with you, smartass, because you were one of us—because you weren’t afraid of me, and you decided to end your spectacular victory by throwing that piece of bone at Amarantha like a javelin. I felt Cassian’s spirit beside me in that moment, and could have sworn I heard him say, ‘If you don’t marry her, you stupid prick, I will.”
Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Mist and Fury

“Rhysand stared at me for long enough that I faced him.
"Be glad of your human heart, Feyre. Pity those who don't feel anything at all.”
Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Thorns and Roses

“Well, good-bye for now," he said, rolling his neck as if we hadn't been talking about anything important at all. He bowed at the waist, those wings vanishing entirely, and had begun to fade into the nearest shadow when he went rigid.
His eyes locked on mine wide and wild, and his nostrils flared. Shock—pure shock flashed across his features at whatever he saw on my face, and he stumbled back a step. Actually stumbled.
"What is—" I began.
He disappeared—simply disappeared, not a shadow in sight—into the crisp air.”
Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Thorns and Roses
