Just this morning, international best-selling author friended me on goodreads and gave me 5-star ratings on 2 of my books.

Hours later, she unfriended me and removed the 5-star ratings.

What a fun read. Very superficial, but easy to read with lots of action, formulaic of course, but a feel-good type of thriller. A solid adventure book good for beaches, train rides, and rainy days.

The 2 major protagonists are not super spies - they make mistakes, get filthy, go against their ethics. One step further - it’s almost like one of those best pals in a dilemma kind of story. Thoroughly enjoyed it. And the translation felt effortless.
