A. J. Knight is an author who began writing in December 2023, mostly because the characters in their head were getting a little too loud to ignore. With the encouragement of friends and family (and plenty of caffeine), Knight published their debut novel in the summer of 2024. It’s been a fast-paced journey of letting their imagination run wild—and learning a lot along the way.

From childhood favorites like Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, Animorphs, and Ender’s Game, to a love of movies and TV shows like The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and How to Train Your Dragon, Knight's storytelling is deeply rooted in a passion for adventure and immersive worlds. Inspired by the worlds of manga and anime—particularly Naruto and Bleach—Knight loves creating A. J. Knight has always believed there’s something valuable to learn from listening to others. Whether it’s from history, different cultures, or the people around us, we all have stories to tell that can teach us something important. That’s why Knight loves blending history into their fantasy stories—not just to make the worlds feel more authentic, but because every story, every culture, and every experience holds a lesson. Their characters, often born from daydreams during commutes, long showers, and sometimes the occasional intrusive thought, reflect that belief. They grow and evolve, learning from their world, their mistakes, and the people they meet.

In Knight's work, subtle themes of Christianity and cultural diversity often emerge—not as lessons to be taught, but as opportunities for reflection and connection. Through their stories, Knight invites readers to see the world through a different lens, to consider new perspectives, and hopefully, to learn something about themselves in the process.
