Peter Kazmaier is the award-winning author of five books. He just completed his sixth, a fantasy entitled Exiles from Mendathera. Once the editing is complete, it will be ready for publication.

Peter is also working on the sequel to Coventry 2091.

The Halcyon Cycle is Peter Kazmaier’s first book series. In writing this colonization epic, he has been able to pursue a life-long dream of writing fast-paced novels that explore the intersection between adventure, science, faith, and philosophy.

His third novel, The Battle for Halcyon won the 2016 Word Award in the category of Speculative Fiction. This sequel to The Halcyon Dislocation follows the fate of the dislocated University of Halcyon and the splinter colony Eleytheria as they fight for surv

I'm afraid I'm only 60,000 words into a book that I plan to be 120,000.

After a false start (I had to abandon several chapters) set me back, I have been writing fairly steadily. I wish I had better news for you, but writing for me seems to be a slow process.

Having said that, I'm excited about what I have written so far. I take the reader through the eyes of familiar characters to a continent well below sea level east of Feiramar. There are many surprises, new adventures, and (I hope) many nail-biting moments. Thank you for asking. I wish I could write faster.(less)

With respect to the outrageous $92.48 that's almost four times higher the list price. I have asked my publisher/distributor and they also have no idea where that listing is coming from.

The book is also listed at Chapters/Indigo with free shipping to a store near you. Link: https://goo.gl/SXuXoe .(less)

Superb Reading Experiences in 2025: Andrew Seddon’s WREATHS OF EMPIRE

In 2025, I read Andrew M. Seddon’s WREATHS OF EMPIRE, and found it absolutely delightful.

The story begins with action right away. Junior Lieutenant Jade Lafrey’s life changed when her captain (Harriet Mears-Hadley) called on her to man the empty scan console as the Proximity Alarm sounded. The fleet was under surprise attack by the alien Gara’nesh. In panic, the fleet admiral ordered a full re

Hello! I am not listed on Smashwords. I don't really know what Smashwords is, actually. It's only available on Amazon so far. If you search "Heaven's Hunter," the series will come up.

“[Professor Kinnerton] Has the fact that we have about 97 percent of our DNA in common with chimpanzees escaped you? How can you still argue we are special and have a soul when we are so obviously animals? ... [Al Gleeson] With due respect sir, the 97 percent is precisely the problem. Are chimpanzees 97 percent of the way to splitting the atom? Are they 97 percent of the way to writing their first sonnet? Someone tittered at the back of the room. Are bonobos 97 percent of the way to putting the first bonobo on the moon? Is there an orangutan somewhere with a simian Mona Lisa 97 percent finished?”
