The cast is smaller in this first book since Cadence is on her journey of discovering answers to her past, but everything/one starts to come together at the end and more in the sequel. I can't wait for you to read both books :)(less)

I was in a depressive rut for a long time but my writer friends and getting a new job helped turn me around and back to accomplishing my writing goals!

I've always cried when I've killed off characters. I try to picture myself in my MC's place so I can evoke true emotions in my writing so those scenes are always emotional for me.

And my motivation to write was my twin sister-- we read each other's stories as each chapter was completed. It was fun to be creative, but I think she's what kept me going because I knew there was at least one person in the world who wanted to find out what would happen next. :)(less)

Books fall open, you fall in.
“Books fall open, you fall in.”
David T.W. McCord

Maggie Stiefvater
“There is no better taste than this: someone else’s laughter in your mouth.”
Maggie Stiefvater, Forever

Maggie Stiefvater
“Everything mattered and nothing did, and I was tired of trying to find out how both of those things were true. I was an itch that I'd scratched so hard I was bleeding. I had set out to do the impossible, whatever the impossible might be, only to find out that it was living with myself. Suicide became an expiration date, the day after which I no longer had to try.”
Maggie Stiefvater, Forever

Kiera Cass
“Maybe it's not the first kisses that are supposed to be special. Maybe it's the last ones.”
Kiera Cass, The Crown

Jack Thorne
“DUMBLEDORE: Harry, there is never a perfect answer in this messy, emotional world. Perfection is beyond the reach of humankind, beyond the reach of magic. In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Parts One and Two
