Kevin lives with his husband, Warren, in their humble apartment (affectionately named Sabrina), in Australia’s own ‘Emerald City,’ Sydney.

His tall tales explore unrequited love in the theatre district of the Afterlife, romance between a dreamer and a realist, and a dystopian city addicted to social media.

His first novel, Drama Queens with Love Scenes, spawned a secondary character named Guy. Many readers argue that Guy, the insecure gay angel, is the star of the Actors and Angels book series. His popularity surprised the author. The third in this series, Drama Queens and Devilish Schemes, scored a Rainbow Award (judged by fans of queer fiction) for Best Gay Alternative Universe/Reality novel.

Strangely enough, hanging out the washing. Some of my best lines and plot twists come when I walk away from the keyboard and focus on something else.

The other advice which works is to shut your eyes and imagine that you're in a room with only a chair and a projector. You are watching the movie of your book. Let it unfold in front of you.

With my first novel, Drama Queens with Love Scenes, I found that the movie version was in 4:3 black and white. Go figure?(less)

The importance of a good Writing Group

I’ve returned to my favourite Writing Group. I was away for a year for personal reasons but in the meantime, joined another who met fortnightly on Saturdays. There were some really great writers there, but we only had five minutes to read and five minutes for feedback. But I continued until the organiser said something …

This novel would make an excellent film.

It has all the elements of a box office smash or a highly streamed miniseries. Period drama. Likeable characters. Sneaky dealings. A love story.

Colton Freelove Kevin,

Thank you for your friendship on GR!

Regards,

Colton T. Freelove

Morgan Wyatt Hi Kevin,
If you are wondering how well I liked Drama Queens and Love Scenes? Well, it was a victim of the FBI virus. It is something I hope you never get. It locks your machine, demands money, and wipes everything when you don't pay. I kid you not. I figure it might have been out the witchcraft searches I was doing for my paranoramal, plus the poison search for my suspense. LOL

My Kindle books stayed with Amazon, but everything else was lost. Would you mind sending it to me again. I have been traveling the last two weeks which has also put me behind the review curve. Thanks.

Bubbles Hunty Honest & Direct Opinions Thank you. I like the picture too it was a fun night. Thanks for the add

Jay Bell Hey Kevin. Thanks for the friend invite and the kind words. Drama Queens with Love Scenes sounds cool! I wrote a book that takes place in the afterlife as well, but it probably won't be out for another year or so. You totally beat me to it! ;)

Rachel Haimowitz Hi Kevin! Thanks for the friend invite and the kind words about the Counterpoint cover art. Natheie does amazing work, and if ever you've got a couple hours and a moist towelette handy, I highly recommend checking out all his other stuff (nathie.deviantart.com); he'll blow you away :D

Kevin Klehr One book that is a must read if you're into gay coming of age novels is "Morse Code For Cats" by Tom Conyers - http://www.morsecodeforcats.com.au/in... - It's set in Melbourne and had me hooked from cover to cover.
