CATCHING SUKI
A while ago a friend of mine contacted me to see if I could help her. She's launching a charity called Girltank which aims to support girls around the globe who are making change happen in their communities.
Because I am passionate about supporting girls and empowering them I jumped at the chance and we talked about me writing a short story that they could then use to promote Girltank.
Straightaway I chose Suki from the Hunting Lila series as the protagonist because so many people warmed to her and because she's hilarious. So I wrote a short story from her point of view. It runs parallel to the start of Hunting Lila so we get to meet all the characters from Hunting Lila but before Lila does.
For a sneak peak on what Alex really thinks about Lila (Suki can read his mind remember) and to discover exactly how Alicia gets captured by the Unit (clue Suki might have had something to do with it) download now - it's FREE! All you need to do is go to Girltank's Facebook page and nominate someone you know who's making a positive difference to the world and they will email you a copy.
So, here's the blurb on the story…
The Unit are closing in and Demos needs one of his team to go deep cover.
Enter Suki.
Fashion obsessed, boy-crazy and more than a little kooky, Suki is a mind reader with a special talent for buying shoes and for listening in on private conversations.
Tasked with infiltrating the enemy (namely Jack and Alex) Suki rises to the challenge, leaving a trail of chaos, destruction (and a large room service bill) in her wake.

Losing Lila Cover & Giveaway!
Very excitingly, Losing Lila's cover is finally ready to be revealed to the world. What do you think?
I love the strapline: 'It's time to stop running and start fighting.'
I wanted it to express how this book is all about the action and Lila coming into her own. And she does. She kicks ASS. Am very excited about its release...just three more months now and counting. Expectations are high for this one and I so want it to deliver for all the fans and bloggers who loved Hunting Lila.
I can confirm that there's tonnes more steam and some epic action scenes and a few more twists. All the characters from Hunting Lila are back in the sequel and all the questions still to be answered are finally resolved...Is Sara a goodie or a baddie? Is Jack alive? And if he is will he and Alex ever become friends again? Will Alex & Lila be able to make a go of it? Will they rescue the people from the base?
Is it a happy ending? That I can't tell you. What I can say is, it isn't a happy ending for everybody. And I can guarantee tears.
And if you need any more incentive to pre-order it let me add this extra morsel of information...there's a story from Alex's point of view in the back. So if you've ever wanted to know what Alex was thinking when Lila fell down the stairs and into his arms at the start of Hunting Lila, or ever wanted to know what was going on behind those inscrutable blue eyes of his when he was listening to her talk, then you'll be able to find out!
I'm also hosting a giveaway on Goodreads...so don't forget to enter for the chance to win a signed copy!

Tormenting Lila - new story
Exciting news...there's a short story coming on July 1st... TORMENTING LILA... Here is the blurb:
"When Lila and Alex sneak off for a romantic weekend away, Lila’s hoping she’ll finally have a chance to work on Alex’s resolve.
But just as things start heating up news reaches them of a serial killer at loose on the island and it isn’t long before their intimate weekend away is interrupted.
A mind reader, a projector, a protective older brother and a serial killer. One of them is going to find Lila first. She's hoping it's the serial killer."
Set 8 weeks after the end of Losing Lila, Tormenting Lila will give fans a hit of their favourite characters from the Lila series while introducing them to the characters and stunning location from my next book The Sound (published August 1st, 2013).
There's a great competition coming up too - win the chance to be Alex's girlfriend. More on that later...Tormenting Lila

Tormenting Lila
I just posted the first page to Tormenting Lila on the blog section of my GR page, but I think the blog posts get more views and don't want Lila fans to miss out on this...
A little teaser for the upcoming Tormenting Lila - out July 1st.
"My eyes flew open.
Alex’s lips stilled instantly against my neck. ‘What?’ he murmured, his hand reaching automatically for his gun, which was lying on the nightstand.
I shook my head. ‘Nothing,’ I said, forcing myself to smile at him, all the while trying to throw off a gnawing sense of disquiet.
Alex paused for a moment, studying me. I turned away from his scrutinizing gaze and focused on the semi-automatic he was gripping in his hand. With a quick flick of my eyes the gun went skidding out of his palm and tumbled into the drawer of the nightstand. I slammed it shut and turned my attention back to Alex.
He raised an eyebrow at me, his blue eyes sparking in amusement.
I had tried arguing with Alex about the need to carry a gun. We were no longer being hunted by the Unit after all, and he was no longer a Marine employed by said Unit to hunt people like me down and contain them. Therefore, my reasoning went, a gun was no longer a necessary part of our lives. But old habits died hard. And Alex refused to be parted from it. He kept it on him night and day, and I’d caught him several times lovingly oiling the parts and checking the firing mechanism when he thought I wasn’t looking.
It had reached the point where I was seriously starting to envy the gun.
Although Alex hadn’t said anything I was beginning to wonder if his keeping the gun to hand was less out of habit and more about something else. The thing was, I didn’t want to contemplate what the something else could be. The Unit was out of action as far as I was concerned. Richard Stirling, the man behind it, was missing, hopefully blown to smithereens along with all his research. His daughter was behind bars - something which made me smile from ear to ear and do a little happy dance every time I thought about it. The world was full of rainbows and unicorns and Alex loved me. Why focus on the negative?
Alex’s gaze fell to my lips. I cut my eyes in the direction of his hand, still resting on the nightstand and tugged it towards me, directing it to land squarely on my waist.
Alex laughed under his breath, pulling me closer against his chest. ‘We’ve talked about this, you don’t need to force me to do anything involving you, Lila.’

Hot boy in my inbox, Lila & Alex finally get it on, and other exciting news
Today in my inbox: the US cover for The Sound PLUS the cover they didn't end up using with the three models they hired to play Jesse, Ren and Jeremy. And holy mother of HOTNESS (as Megan would say) the guy playing Jesse is supremely yummy he ALMOST lives up to the one in my imagination. Quite a feat.
I also got the cover through for OUT OF CONTROL (out next year) and it's brilliant! Can't wait to share.
But even so nothing is quite as hot as the fourth thing in my inbox.. the uncut, copy-edited LILA X-RATED SCENE (over 18s only) that is coming in January. Here's a little taster to, um, wet your appetites...
" ‘I want to be able to give you one hundred percent of my attention. Right now, with the Unit on our tail, I’m going to be giving you less than fifty percent. I got one eye on the door and one on you, not to mention a gun under the pillow. Not exactly the accessory I imagined.’
