Purple Apples and Olive

So the first 3 episodes are live. They don't really link to my author page and they are hard to find via google search, so here is where I make a bunch of links pointing to the story to help that algorithm along.

I mean, I share the fun and excitement with you!

Anyways, this is a low-key, fantasy, all ages sort of story.

Check out Purple Apples and Olive

Enough Space

“There isn’t enough space,” Tom announced, confident that this was the truth.
“The car thinks that there is,” Andrea replied, sitting in the driver’s seat of the brand new sedan.
“I’m going to get out and check,” Tom said, unbuckling his seatbelt.
“You don’t need to.”
Tom squeezed out of the passenger side door and walked back to better gauge the open parking spot. “I don’t think you can fit,” Tom argued.
“The car does it all robotically!” Andrea responded, yelling through the car window.
“You mean ‘...

Creepy Doll

The worst part about being a haunted doll is the children. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not one of those guys who hates kids. Most of the time, I’m cool with them.

But you know, it’s hard to keep up the illusion of being an inanimate object when some 2-year-old half-wit is drooling all over your buttons or throwing you on the ground to step on you just because his parents told him not to do that thing.

Sometimes it gets lonely, too, I guess. I’m the only haunted doll in this entire collection of hom...

2 Minute Stories for Weird People

Hey all!

So the new book is available and starting to ship! I've seen a few posts now with people's hardcover copies (and also their thumbnails).

It looks like it should be all good to go.

I haven't deleted the stories from the blog, though they are cleaned up a bit and easier to navigate in book form. Plus, you can't buy your friend a web link for his birthday.

Anyways, buy here

Smol Fair Stories Part 5

The title for our final Smol Fail story comes from Alex Blurbin’ Carrigan ( @Carriganak )

The Villainous Couturière

“I love your aesthetic. I require exclusive rights to make your jumpsuits.”

“Well, I’ve had other offers. Wha-”

“I will pay double your highest offer.”

“Sold,” the designer said.

“Then it is done.”

The women shake hands.

“They’re great outfits. Functional, durable, and they look good on everybody.”

“Yes. They will require many alterations.”

“Pardon?”

“First, we must ensure that th...

Smol Fair Stories part 4

Today’s story title provided by Wayne Gio of Not So Good at This Comic.

Chickens Stole My Wallet

Mr. Oxman approached the officer of the law, attempting to get his attention. “Sir!” he said, “Those chickens stole my wallet.”

“Chickens?” the officer asked with more than a hint of incredulity.

“Yes,” Mr. Oxman replied.

“Okay,” he said taking out a pen and a pad of paper. “That strikes me as odd. What did you have in your wallet?”

“Just a few dollars,” Mr. Oxman responded, “but they’re right there!...

Smol Fair Stories part 3

Today's story title provided by ShikshaWrites on Twitter.

The Day I Died

“Get in here, Ichabod!” screamed Ingrid.

The apparition materialized before her. “Milady,” it said.

“Don’t milady me. You told me you died here of ‘the consumption’ in 1890. Well, I’ve been on ancestry sites all week and I can find no evidence of you ever living or dying in this building.”

“We weren’t thorough at keeping records 150 years ago, darling.”

“And, this building wasn’t even finished until 1909!”

“I can explain!”

Smol Fair Stories, Part 2

Today's story title was suggested by Connor Coyne, author of Urbantasm .

Dear Rahm

Dear Rahm,

How are you doing? Enjoying the weather? I write you today to ask an important question that has always bothered me: how come Chicago mayors aren’t tall?

My eight-grade history teacher told me that politicians were generally tall, but you’re a little guy. Both Mayors Daley were like 5’7” and Lori Lightfoot is like five foot nothing.

It’s weird.

You know who was tall, though? The cast of “Night Court.”

Pl...
