Hey, thanks for accepting me! Now you have one more fan closer to achieve your dreams :P Loved both of your books! But I'm curious to know; 13870 days? You can see your future, huh?
So UPS dropped off an ARC of Kinslayer! I cannot express how surprised and excited I am. Yay for Kinslayer!
Thanks Mr. Kristoff for creating such a unique and intriguing world for us all to play in. I see so much potential adventure in it.
Dear Jay,Thank you for being my friend here on Goodreads. I am really looking forward to reading and discovering your work, as it is of much interest to me (being an avid reader of fantasy).
Kind Regards
Lucinda x

Hey Jay? Mr Kristoff? erm The-author-of-that-awesome-book-called-Stormdancer? Thanks for accepting my friendvite :) I'm currently reading Stormdancer and it's absolutely amazing!! I love your original storyline and the amount of research you've put into getting the Japanese terminology correct (as a student of Japanese I get highly annoyed when people do it wrong). So thanks for being such an awesome author And if you don't mind me peeping and prying, 13870 days?
Daphne wrote: "Also, has anyone mentioned you look like Dave Grohl? :)"lol, yeah maybe once or twice :)

Jay, would you please let us (actually me, but I'm trying to be a team player here) know when the book becomes available on NetGalley?Otherwise, I'm stuck at checking it everyday like a stalker. I confess I've been doing that.

You are too awesome not to friend. And...I'm in love with the cover and half afraid of imploding upon reading your book because it'll be too great for my mere mortal eyes. Anyway. Thank you for accepting my friend request.

Jay wrote: "What's a church?"It's the Gothic creepy buildings, usually with towers and gargoyles of some sort, where people go to prey. Or as my grandma likes to call it 'cleansing their souls' to the one above that might not even be there. I certainly do not give a flying banana about cleansing my soul. I know it's clean (actually no, it's rotten and dirty).
Okay. Stripper-flavoured champagne? Yummy. Sounds very...saucy. Me wantz it! Naow! Ok, you're the same age as me, but this shows how much my mind is f*ucked up because that is not what I think about stripper flavoured champagne.

I feel like going to church, but I'm scared I'll start burning in the doorway.
Okay, yet another comment I haven't been notified on. Grr. GR is conspiring against me, I swear it.Okay. Stripper-flavoured champagne? Yummy. Sounds very...saucy. Me wantz it! Naow!
Also, lollipops? Hell yeah! I want me some lollipops!
(Bonus points if they are strangely shaped and taste of chocolate...)
What in the world? Stripper falvoured champagne?
The mental picture I have is horrendous, but so amusing.
Now, when I'll open the book I'll be expecting somebody to jump out and offer me some of that champagne.
Now that would be something.
Adam "Archer" wrote: "Stripper flavoured champagne? Is that crushed dreams, failed potential, lost hope and sweaty pervert flavour then?"
...good point, well made.
Mel (Tattie Bogle #2!) wrote: "You know, you are uncanningly similar-looking to the lead singer of the Foo Fighters; David Grohl."I have indeed heard that before. But it's okay - it happens so often it's kinda funny now. :)
And you're welcome! Thanks for asking. Really glad you like the sound of the book, I hope it lives up to all your hopes and dreams and transports you to a magical faraway land full of sunshine, lolly pops and stripper flavored champagne.
...or maybe not. :)
You know, you are uncanningly similar-looking to the lead singer of the Foo Fighters; David Grohl. But why do I get the feeling I'm not the first one to tell you this? ;)At least now I can brag that I am friends with a David Grohl look-alike. *in dramatic voice* My "claim to fame"!
Ummm. *thinks of what she was supposed to say*
...
...
Oh yeah! Thanks for accepting. That's what I originally came on your profile for, before I got sidetracked by your image....you know, your book sounds fabulously fabulous (see what I did thair?), and I canNOT wait to read it. Well, I can, obviously, but I mean that I dont want to.
Anyway...I bet you're regretting friending me already!
Adam "Archer" wrote: "IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!"Bwahahahaa!
Do da do doooo, do da do dat dooooooooo
Thankfully, I happened to be listening to the Foo Fighters just as I read this, and they seem to have thwarted the power of Europe.
Must be like rock paper scissors. Rawk beats Hair Metal, apparently.
I haven't read a lot of Japanese literature tbh. Some Ryūnosuke Akutagawa and Eiji Yoshikawa is about it. I always worry what we miss out on in the translations, and sadly, I don't speak Japanese :(I know it's not something a mature author-y type person should admit to, but most of my Japanese influence comes from all the manga I read as a kid. :)
