I really enjoyed working with Defiance Press. They're expanding their work into the fiction sphere and I was one of the early authors in that effort. Their staff members are so supportive and their editors do a great job. They did all my copyediting and we had a lot of back and forth in finalizing my manuscript. They also did all the design work for the book. Both traditional publishing deals and partner publishing deals allow you to work with the editors and designers. I would definitely recommend sending the manuscript their way! (less)

If I'm hitting a block on a part of the plot but know where I want the story to end up, I jump ahead and then backfill once I have the spark of inspiration I need to fill in the blanks. (less)
