Keep the drumroll going for just a sec. First, I have to tell you I had one heck of a time with selecting winners at random because neither small children nor Boudreau the cat would help. You see him here checking his email and enjoying my coffee. Pah.

Finally, I just put all the entries for contest 1 (involving Luki and Sonny's answers to interview questions) in the Xmas paw-stocking belonging to my daughter's cat George, the twin sister of my cat Boudreau.

Mrs. C. Ellis, who entered on release day, over at the Dreamspinner Press Blog, won parts 1 and 2 of the first contest, and selects the set of both Vasquez and James ebooks. Nikyta won contest 2, and has an ebook version of Delsyn's Blues.

Congrats Mrs. C. Ellis and Nikyta, and thank you to everyone for playing! I like contests, so perhaps keep your eye peeled for other opportunities. Even if I start the contest (or whatever) elsewhere, I try to keep this blog updated.

I admit it, I was surprised. Way back on February 5th I posted an excerpt and contest from my upcoming Dreamspinner release (to be out this summer) Yes: A Vasquez and James Novella. Yes, the book is about some tough times for the two devoted, loving men, and yes, it's a romance--happy ending and all. What suprised me was out of 125 views, only 2 people commented. Hmmmm.... food for thought.

Now the good news is both of those people win an ebook and the chance to have their words of advice for Sonny and Luki appear in the book's front matter. Clancy Ellis, and Kim Moore, you're winners!

Earlier this month I ran another contest, and I've got winners there, too. Elizabeth Noble and Vastine Bondurant win the Vasquez and James ebook of their choice!

It's almost release day for Yes: A Vasquez and James Novella! July 18th is just six short days away, at last.

I'm looking forward to the release that day, but also to the party! I'm having a "release-day party" at the Dreamspinner Press Blog on Wednesday the 18th. I'll post an excerpt or two, maybe a little backstory, giveaway, answer questions and just have a good time.

On Thursday I'm hoping to take some characters on tour--blog tour that is. Watch for upcoming details! Then, on Saturday, my celebration will wrap-up for the time being with a chat at Dreamspinner's Goodreads.

(I really hope you'll join me because neither a party nor a chat is any fun without company.)
