It really depends upon the circumstance, but sometimes I power through by forcing myself to write, other times I write something that has nothing to do with any of the current projects I'm working on and thus get the creative juices flowing. Sometimes I just wait it out by doing other things I love doing (playing games, being social, etc).(less)

All of these are perfect examples of what the "best" thing is about being a writer. Being a writer is the best, simple as that.(less)

“Everybody is identical in their secret unspoken belief that way deep down they are different from everyone else.”
David Foster Wallace, Infinite Jest

Langston Hughes
“Hold fast to dreams,
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird,
That cannot fly.”
Langston Hughes

Elizabeth Gaskell
“Sometimes one likes foolish people for their folly, better than wise people for their wisdom.”
Elizabeth Gaskell, Wives and Daughters

Jim Morrison
“The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution, on an individual level. It's got to happen inside first.”
Jim MORRISON

Leon Trotsky
“The end may justify the means as long as there is something that justifies the end.”
Leon Trotsky, Their Morals and Ours: The Class Foundations of Moral Practice
