Shannon Riley (she/her) grew up covertly sharing, during lunch period, gore stories starring her friends and family rather than catching up in math class. She is the author of the revenge novella Pocketknife Kitty (Ghoulish Books, 2024), and her short fiction has been seen in the Dark Blooms: Girls' Coming-of-Age Horrors anthology, in PUNK Goes Horror (Truborn Press), as well as various other spooky places online. She lives with her husband and daughter in a mediumish suburb outside of Pittsburgh. If you like chatting about 2000s emo and post-hardcore music, you can go yell at her on IG @shannon_wryly, or @shannon_said on Twitter. ...more

Was instantly drawn to this book by the incredible cover, but unfortunately, the contents never really seemed to match that initial burst of excitement. This book had a lot going for it when I first picked it up. I love an unusual premise, a short bo ...more

To be billed as a thriller/mystery, and to then have absolutely no thrills NOR mystery, but instead be full of a group of people so hateful, nasty, and misogynistic, who spend all their tim

“Perhaps kids really did come into the world trailing clouds of glory, as Wordsworth had so confidently proclaimed, but they also shit in their pants until they learned better.”

“Age is a terrible thief. Just when you're getting the hang of life, it knocks your legs out from under you and stoops your back. It makes you ache and muddies your head and silently spreads cancer throughout your spouse.”

“I chipped his sacred religious item into long splinters using a pair of pliers and a screwdriver. I figure if there's a God, He won't mind, considering the situation I'm in. If ruining the only religious icon I have leaves me vulnerable to Martian vampires, I'll have to risk it.”

“I guess the most amazing thing about crying though is that when you're in it, you think it'll go on forever but it never really lasts half what you think. Not in terms of real time. In terms of real emotions, it's worse than you think, but not by the clock.”

Rob Full Moon in January 💕 Happy New Year 💕
✌ Rob ☮

The Wolf Moon on the Night between 1 and 2 January 2018 is a Supermoon.
The following Full Moon is also in January, on the 31. It has no given name,
which makes it a Blue Moon. However, this particular Blue Moon will likely look red in some areas, because it will cause a total lunar eclipse, also known as a Blood Moon.
