I was inspired early on by the Twilight Zone and classics such as War or the Worlds, The Time Machine and A Princess of Mars. My first trilogy was post-apocalyptic, so while not hard sci-fi it still fell within that that scope. Once I linked up with Dr. Worthington(an actual scientist) to write It Takes Death To Reach A Star, the sci-fi thing really got kicked into overdrive. Short answer: I suppose the genre always has been a natural fit for me(but that doesn't mean I won't branch out in the future). Great question!(less)

My Top 3 Superhero Picks Of All Time (+Bonus)

I'm a big time superhero fanboy and I make no bones about it. Marvel is typically home base for me, but I'm open minded when DC, Image, or Dark Horse does something worth checking out. Having just finishedthe rough draft of my very ownsuperhero origin story, I am in a serious super-powered mindset as of late. In developing my own supers and in wanting themto be unique, thisparticular writing journe Read more of this blog post »

OMNIVIOLENCE by Jones Worthington
"Gloriously violent and a terrifying reminder of the darkness within human nature.

Omniviolence is a highly entertaining, non-stop action thriller with a dystopian setting that gives and gives and gives! A truly explosive reading experience packed ful" Read more of this review »

OMNIVIOLENCE by Jones Worthington
"What a fun read this one was!

Oh, it’s definitely violent, but it also has heart and our unlikely duo (well trio if you include a furry little one), just gave me the warm fuzzies. And, yes, it’s weird to talk about the warm fuzzies when you’re talking" Read more of this review »

“I think it's important for each of us to examine the reasons why we have survived our individual challenges, obstacles, and trials. It's not always easy to come to terms with the fact that God always has a greater purpose for us than we can have for ourselves.”
Stu Jones

“It's very difficult to strike that balance - and I'm not convinced that many Christian filmmakers, writers, ect, are willing to take the risks necessary to even try. It's much safer and more profitable to tell a wholesome, feel good story (not that there's anything wrong with wholesome stories). But doing the opposite could mean offending potentially large swaths of your target audience by forcing them to confront the ugly truth that's present in each of our lives. I hate to say it, but a good number of Christians would rather feel safe, and good about themselves, than truly examine humanity's desperation and our need for the cross.”
Stu Jones

“My reign is cut short by mere animals.”

“Everybody has a secret world inside of them. I mean everybody. All of the people in the whole world, I mean everybody — no matter how dull and boring they are on the outside. Inside them they've all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds... Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands, maybe.”

“Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.”
Neil Gaiman, Coraline

“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.”
