Each and every time I wanted to write a 5,000 word story for the detective magazines, which only paid $250, I had to make a trip to the investigating department of the case(s) I was interested in. Multiply this effort by 4-6 times per month, and you can see that a lot of work and time went into the research. Nowadays, with the computer, research is a bit easier, but for book-length projects a lot of legwork still goes into it. Also, after years of building a reputation of trust with various law enforcement agencies, much can be accomplished by telephone and email.(less)

Gary C. King My true crime collection of detective stories, Murder Most Foul, is now available for the #Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/Murder-Most-Fou...

Bizarre, compelling, terrifying and authentic true crime stories of murder and mayhem. In these pages you will find details of 18 chilling crimes that could only be perpetrated by the twisted minds and gruesome obsessions of coldblooded killers, the stuff that horror movies and novels are made of, brought to you from the vault of bestselling true crime author and serial killer expert Gary C. King. There are true stories of love affairs gone wrong, sex slayings, despicable child murders--including one who would be considered a serial killer by today's revised FBI standards, mass murders, and one about a killer who went so far as to impersonate his victim. These are terrifying, heart-pounding yet mostly obscure true crime stories guaranteed to keep you awake at night and your doors locked, each written with the true crime aficionado in mind!

Also available for #Nook readers: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/murde...

For readers who prefer a paperback version: http://www.amazon.com/Murder-Most-Fou...

Also available on Apple iBooks, and through Smashwords.com: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

Thanks for having a look!
