I’m Diona, a fantasy and sci-fi writer who’s been spinning stories since I could hold a crayon—probably before I even knew what a plot was! My mom made sure I was never without a book in my hands—seriously, I think she had a sixth sense for when my book stack was getting low. She subscribed to every book service under the sun just to keep my shelves overflowing!

My grandmother, Diane? She was pure magic. She didn’t just give me books—she handed me keys to new worlds. Late-night storytelling, epic movie marathons, and that knowing twinkle in her eye when she passed me a book—she made sure my life was filled with adventure. Thanks to her, I fell in love with fantasy and sci-fi and never looked back. Now, I get to take all that wonder and pour it into my own books—stories packed with mystery, transformation, and those ‘did that really just happen?!’ moments I live for.

Oh, and when I’m not writing, I’m behind a camera! I’ve been a photographer for 20 years, running Thistle+Oak, my photography business in Florida. I don’t just capture life’s messy, beautiful moments—I find ways to weave a little fantasy into them too.

When I’m not lost in stories or photos, I’m at home with my husband and our son, G, whom I homeschool (which is equal parts chaos and magic, let’s be real). And then there’s Ranger, my tiny, dramatic Chihuahua who’s convinced he’s king of the house (he’s... not entirely wrong). He’s either curled up next to me or giving me side-eye because I dared to move.

If I’m not creating, I’m probably in the kitchen baking something (yes, my sourdough starter is named Sally Jesse Raphael—she’s a diva), out foraging for herbs like I’m living in a fantasy novel, or knee-deep in my garden. When I need a break, you'll find me painting, embroidering, or chatting with my quirky little farm crew of rabbits and chickens—because yes, I absolutely talk to them, and honestly, they’ve got some strong opinions!

My debut novel, Where Dreams Collide, kicks off The Elusive Series—a mix of fantasy, sci-fi, and psychological intrigue with plenty of 'whoa, did that just happen?!' moments. It’s full of mystery, transformation, and a touch of the surreal, making you question what’s real and what’s a dream.

If you like a little more spice, Where Dreams Ignite is a hotter version of Where Dreams Collide, with a rewritten first half and some extra-detailed scenes. And for a fully immersive experience, The Where Dreams Collide Coloring Book brings key scenes to life with intricate artwork!

So, what’s next? Funny you should ask! Right now, I’m diving headfirst into When Fate Unfolds, the YA version of the next book in the Elusive Series—expect heart-pounding adventure, emotional twists, and just the right amount of magic. It’s shaping up to be an epic ride, and I can't wait for you to experience it with me—it’s going to be amazing!
