Menulis, menyunting, dan menyelia naskah berbagai tema, di antaranya "Hidup di Atas Patahan" (InsistPress, 2012), "Chambers: Makassar Urban Culture Identity" (Chambers Celebes, 2013), "Rock In Celebes dan 100 Tahun Musik Populer Makassar" (Tanahindie Press - Rock In Celebes, 2021) dan beberapa buku bersama lainnya.

Beberapa tulisannya terbit di Kompas, Tempo, Esquire Indonesia, Jurnal Natar (FSRD IKJ), Jurnal Svara, Warisan Indonesia, Fajar, Tribun Timur, dan media cetak/elektronik lainnya.

Pada 1999, ia mendirikan Tanahindie di Kota Makassar, ruang mandiri yang menitikberatkan kajian perkotaan. Mengasuh Penerbit Ininnawa sejak 2005, selain sehari-hari sebagai pustakawan dan pengarsip di Kampung Buku, Makassar.
