Cornwall has always been home. Its wild coastlines, hidden coves, and windswept Towans appear again and again in my stories. I have a deep love of the sea — from bodyboarding and exploring new beaches to wandering through the small towns and villages that surround them. When I’m not writing or teaching, you’ll usually find me tucked up with a cream tea and a good book, enjoying the slower pace and charm that inspire so much of my work.
I spent more than twenty-five years as a teacher and school leader and am now completing my Master’s in Educational Psychology. Today, I combine my two passions — education and storytelling — as both an author and the owner of a tuition business supporting students across Cornwall and Devon. Writing lets me ca

I’ve travelled the Nile a few times, and it never fails to inspire me. If I were to set a story outside Cornwall one day, that’s probably where it would be. ✨

I also love Italy — the beauty, the romance, the light — but my heart truly belongs to Cornwall. I live here, love here, and it still feels like the most beautiful, evocative place in the world. Every season tells a different story: wild winter storms, soft spring blooms, and golden summer skies.

As for fictional worlds — I’d probably choose Hogwarts from Harry Potter for its timeless sense of wonder, or Narnia, for that perfect blend of adventure and escapism. Both have shaped the way I see storytelling — worlds you can lose yourself in, yet always find a piece of yourself, too.

But honestly, Cornwall feels like a fictional world of its own sometimes — full of secrets, legends, and stories waiting on the tide.(less)

💙✨In August, my debut novel Between the Towans 🌊 stepped out into the world — and what an adventure it’s been already!

In those first magical weeks, it soared into the Top 3 in Amazon’s Love Triangle Romance category and is still proudly holding its place in the Top 50 today.
One of the highlights so far was the incredible book signing at Beachside in Hayle — right where the story is set. Meeting so many avid readers in such a beautiful setting, surrounded by the very dunes and coastline that inspired the book, was Read more of this blog post »
