I’m not a traditional writer in the sense that I didn’t sit down to write a book from scratch. Having been in more than one not-quite-healthy relationship, already a philosophy enthusiast and later a psychology student, I had accumulated a lot of thoughts and reflections in my folders—partly written down to get them out of my head, partly so I could return to certain ideas and reflections later and develop them further.

So the creation of *Motion of Being* was not so much an act of writing (although there was some of that too, to make the transitions between certain themes smoother), but more a process of compiling, organising, arranging the sequence, and editing.
