Hey, I’m K.L. Rutledge. Author, mom of two, wife to my favorite person, and human to Tuno the Bernedoodle.

Writing started as a creative escape for me… a place to put the big emotions, the old wounds, and the pieces of life that never quite fit into a neat little box. Somewhere between drafting my books, I am busy being a mom, making sourdough, tending to a garden, preparing my last baby for school, finding the time to make dinner, and juggling my career in HR. It’s chaotic, it’s messy, it’s a lot… but it’s a beautiful kind of magic that I used to dream about.
