Its exhausting being forced to fit in all of the time. We are told society—including schools, government agencies, hospitals, and even nonprofits—must be standardized for efficiency. But too often, that ‘standard’ is just a lazy shortcut, a trap that cuts off our real human potential in order to save a little administrative hassle, save tiny money, and make little difference in our outcomes.
