Roger Andersen grew up as the son of Norwegian immigrants. The families and the culture were closely assimilated.

He went on to graduate from Wheaton College (BA) and Oregon State University (MBA).

He worked for PepsiCo for 15 years in management role. He later led four successful turnarounds for struggling companies, including Tonka Corporation, Rollerblade, Young America, and The Bob Pike Group.

He is the author of The Executive Calling and The Immigrant's Journey.

He splits his time between North Carolina and Minnesota these days. He's been married for 48 years, has two daughters and three grandchildren.

Some of the most successful writers have a formula for developing a plot and the story. I have not yet written in this way.

I write based on something that very closely connects with me. I had writer's block for 12 years between my first book and The Immigrant's Journey. Fortunately The Immigrant's Clan seems to give me similar energy.

Who knows what would be next? Maybe I will find another personal story that consumes e, or I will need to become a "formula" writer.(less)

My new novel is doing well. I've has so many of you who have posted wonderful reviews. Thank you so much!!

After publishing a book, it is a stress relief time and so I am just starting to write my next novel. I spent a day on it this week and I think it is going to be very good. It will be called The Immigrant's Clan.
