Well, the holidays hit with a different feel this year.
Hubby was diagnosed with an over 80% carotid artery blockage requiring surgery.
So we prepped for everything all-at-once.
Holidays, surgery and his being out of work for almost a month.
Normally I'd be all gleeful new year new... no, we have a buffoon incoming, well, as to not pick on just one, we have many incoming.

How puny those words seemed compared to the feelings strafing mine, but his voice vibrated as he said them. Then he crouched beside me.

You are, and I will let no one, yourself included, bring you to harm.”
