Dimity's past life included a lot of travel, a lot of people, and a lot of boats. She's cruised around the world and in and out of a career in Hospitality and Marketing until she finally grounded herself back in Queensland, Australia. Family and a fortune which exists only in her fantasies now maintains and motivates her.

She loves eating cake with ice cream, sailing on the beam and writing in her diary although combining all three makes her nauseous.

To Read, Write and Inspire, especially for Children, has been her passion for decades. She's been actively indulging in it since 2008 by writing picture books, chapter books, creative digital content for reading apps and short stories for kids' anthologies.

Thanks for getting in touch and reaching out to me. Sadly, as per my website, I am currently closed to unsolicited reviews. Too many books! Too little time I'm afraid. Wishing you the very best with your E-series. Dimity (less)

“Happiness can not be prescribed, postponed or preserved.

Relish its unpredictability. Cherish its exclusivity. Accept its brevity. But above all savour its delicious exquisiteness. Do not let it go cold!”
Dimity Powell

“If you knew what was going to happen, if you knew everything that was going to happen next—if you knew in advance the consequences of your own actions—you'd be doomed. You'd be ruined as God. You'd be a stone. You'd never eat or drink or laugh or get out of bed in the morning. You'd never love anyone, ever again. You'd never dare to.”
Margaret Atwood, The Blind Assassin

“And he uncovered in us a curious need: that we each secretly wanted him to remember us the most. It was strange, both vital and flawed, until I realised that maybe the need to be remembered is stronger than the need to remember.”
Sarah Winman, When God Was a Rabbit

“Nothing stays forgotten for long, Elly. Sometimes we simply have to remind the world that we're special and that we're still here.”
Sarah Winman, When God Was a Rabbit

“It is easy to believe we are each waves and forget we are also the ocean.”
Jon J. Muth

Hi there Elizabeth!
Many thanks for getting in touch and your acknowledgement of my reviews. Alas, yes I am a woman of many hats which does prevent me from wearing the one I like best workwise - writing. However, I do cover a few Wombat Books titles and in fact am one of their blog reviewers, so if you'd like to send the odd copy through, I'll add it to my list to look at. Can't promise the time it will feature at this stage I'm afraid as I've a few of my own deadlines to meet. Hope this helps. Dimity

Elizabeth Klein Hi Dimity,
You are a prolific reader and writer, which is why I'd like to ask you if you'd like free copies of my YA fantasy novels to perhaps write a short review for me? I realise everyone is so busy and you're probably the same, so it's okay if you can't. I work long, funny hours too and barely have time to write. But please let me know if you can and I'll send you some books. They are called: Firelight of Heaven and Greenheart of the Forest, published by Wombat Books. Many thanks if you're able to read and write a review for them. Elizabeth xx
