John Pearce is a part-time Parisian who lives most of the year in Washington, DC. He worked as a journalist in Washington and Europe, covering economics for the International Herald Tribune and editing a business magazine. After a business career in Sarasota, he spends his days writing fiction set in Paris and elsewhere.

For several months each year, he and his wife Jan live in Paris, walk its streets, and chase down settings for future books and his Substack, Part-Time Parisian. They lived earlier in Frankfurt, Germany, which gave him valuable insights for several scenes in Last Stop: Paris.

I do know the rue Jules Chaplain but not intimately. Friends live in that area, but closer to Luxembourg Gardens.
