I didn't want to do anything, especially anything that caused me to dig into my own emotions. They were raw, I was exhausted and frankly writing hurt. So I asked for some advice from a seasoned author friend. It was what I intuitively already knew. 1) To keep writing something, even if it was just. "I was here today" and nothing more. 2) Re-watch movies that you love or one recommended by a friend. 3) Read something you've been wanting to read, even if you put it down after two chapters because your mind drifts to the writers method in chapter one instead of the story.

Well I did two of the above, and not in order. The next time I forced myself to write, a character became a whole lot funnier and more a part of the storyline than I ever imagined.

Baseline. Write, Read, Live and eventually something will spark. But you gotta relax about it. (less)

BTW While I Murder You (Spoiler Alert)

Murder suicide.  It’s the stuff of nightmares, real everyday, can happen at anytime nightmares.  Often there is an element of delay because there is a second, albeit just a flash back to reality for the deranged person who is holding the instrument of death.  Most often it is a gun.  What happens in those seconds of lucidity?  If we knew perhaps we could find better ways to understand what causes
