Sara B. Ruhl lives in Eastern North Carolina with her husband, Tobias, and two children, Wesley and Claire. She graduated from the University of North Carolina-Asheville in 2006, earning a BA in History and a license to teach. In 2010, she graduated from East Carolina University with a Master of Library Science degree. She has taught since 2006, presently serving as a high school English teacher at a public high school on a military installation.
