As I told you in my last blog post, my Kindle Scout campaign went better than I ever dreamed. Not only did the editors at Amazon decide to read my manuscript, they also chose to publish it. Who hoo!
Everyone who voted for "Splintered" already got their advanced copy of the ebook delivered to their email. But don't worry if you didn't get a copy, the book is now available for pre-order on Amazon with a delivery date of January 26.
Since I won my Kindle Scout campaign, I want to give you a chance to win as well. From 1/16/16 - 2/14/16 I'm running a giveaway of an Amazon Kindle Fire (7" display) to one lucky person who posts an honest review of "Splintered" on Amazon.
After you read the book, go to Amazon's "Splintered" sales page and click on the button "Write a Customer Review". Or you can use the link at the back of the ebook which take you directly to the Amazon page to write the review. Once you've written the review, enter the Rafflecopter giveaway. On the form, give me the name the Amazon review is listed under and your email address so I can contact you if you win.

3rd Annual Name a Character Contest
Have you ever wanted to see your name in a published book or short story? Well now's your chance. I've decided that before I concentrate on writing the next installment in the Detective Kate Springer series, I will write a short story that has been haunting me for months. It's called My Blue Nightmare, and it will be the first short story in a boxed set that I'm eventually going to create once at least three stories are finished. I'm already on chapter 3 of My Blue Nightmare so I really need a suggestion for a name that would fit one of my characters!
To enter the 3rd Annual Name a Character Contest, just sign up for my author newsletter. In the form's bottom field suggest the name you'd like to see used in my story. Give me a first name, last name, or both, your name, parent's name or dog's name—it doesn't matter, just suggest a name. During the 2nd Annual Name a Character contest held for my latest novel, Splintered, the winning name was Lily Eastin entered by Jennifer Schusterman. I loved the name Lily Eastin so much, she became the major character of the protagonist's mom.
