Winner of the African-American Literary Award, for her novel Woman On Top, Brenda L. Thomas is the author of several books including the Essence bestselling novels, Threesome, Fourplay, and The Velvet Rope.

Refusing to be held to a particular genre, Brenda writes everything from mystery and suspense to psychological thrillers. Her passion though is traveling the country discussing her memoir, Laying Down My Burdens.

When she’s not writing—which is rare—Brenda can be found at her home in Philadelphia chasing squirrels away from her garden and researching her next erotic short.
